Veronica Casares

My work is a product of my formal fine arts education combined with strong elements of my Mexican Heritage. I am both a painter and ceramist. I view clay as a three dimensional canvas upon which I can paint, carve, stencil, and silkscreen. I enjoy taking photographs and using them on clay. Textures are very important to my work. The focus is on visual aesthetic and design. I rarely approach my work conceptually, which allows the process to be spontaneous and playful.
