My goal in painting is the pictorial representation of a state of mind, conveyed with sufficient force to evoke an emotional response in the viewer, the usual choice of weapon being oil on canvas. I employ loose linear composition, and then add color to invite your imagination into, move you through, and let you rest in, the picture. It is my hope that the painting will be simple enough to boldly declare, yet complex enough that it will be a joy to look at for a long time.
