Gabor Koranyi

A PRINT, however it is produced, is an original work (albeit in multiple form) if it has been conceived by the artist for chosen medium. My works are orginal multiple color etchings, aquatints, mezzotints, handcrafted on copper or zinc plates, hand pulled editions on 100% cotton paper, mono-prints and mono-types on hand made paper.

PRINTMAKING today is rescpected as a fine-art medium and as artists discovered the potential of making prints, the practice has more than survived the passing years, and has matured, developed and gained popularity. Printmaking in all areas is far from being an outdated visual language and art form. It is an up-to-date method of expression for the artist in the twenty-first century.

However, if the work directly transposed onto a screen, block or plate by photgraphic or other means (giclee by computer), solely in order to produce it in duplicate form, then this is not considered an original print by a reproduction, should be labeled and sold as such!
