Stan Beckman

I began my career as a water-colorist, but in 1972 I changed over to Acrylics on Canvas, with a somewhat watercolor look. The style is known as photo-realism. My work is based on photographs taken on location as opposed to on site painting. The subject matter is usually of European street scenes. The challenge is how much detail to include or exclude, what are the essential things to emphasize or downplay.
