Seth Vandable

Seth Vandable began his career as a commercial artist and painter in central Texas. His background in painting combined with many years of studying human anatomy have contributed to his international success as a sculptor. Vandable strives to capture the intensity of the human spirit in compositions that are both innovative and timeless. His detailed working knowledge of human anatomy is so extensive that the need for models is eliminated, making each sculpture a truly original creation.These dynamic figurative sculptures are first created using an oil-based clay. They are then produced using the ancient lost wax method. After the bronze has been poured and cooled, a unique hot patina is applied in the artist’s studio. The patina colors are achieved using hot torches, chemicals and various brushes. This process can take several weeks from the time the sculpture was made until the time the bronze is completed and based.“I am always inspired and amazed by the people around me, becoming increasingly convinced that every individual I meet is a marvel in their own environment.
