Everything starts with one. I am fascinated with the idea of creating a body of work from a simple single element. I am drawn to contemporary style and clean lines. Its important to go beyond imitation of nature but to interpret nature with my artistic ability and skilled hands. The folded leaf line jewelry is not only light weight and three-dimensional, it has the quality to share the front/back or in/out sides of the leaf especially when I use the silver and gold bi-metal. It enhances the visual and textural quality. Every piece is made from scratch and slow in process. I am inspired and excited to create many future possibilities of work from this one single element.
