Currently my focus is on mixed media painting with collage. My paintings focus on color, composition and movement. I strive to blend the classic with the contemporary. The acrylic paint is the primary medium, but often pieces are embellished with collage, pencil, oil, and wax. I try to imbue my work with an emotional quality that tends toward the meditative and serene. The surface is usually painted in layers, parts are sometimes masked out and scratched into revealing the surface below. This adds to the textural quality and in a sense the painting reveals its own evolution.
