Lynn Armstrong

My recent work is an exploration of the textural possibilities found in the responsive surface of clay. Working with vintage textiles, natural forms and dimensional images I use printmaking techniques and garment construction to build functional vessels for home and heart. I sometimes think of myself as a fiber artist working in clay. The act of producing beauty and usefulness from raw earth materials is transformational for both the object and me as an artist. The object becomes the connection from my hand to the hand of all who use and appreciate my work. From my hand to yours… Both Hands Studio
