James Mosier

I have been an artist for over thirty years. I began my career weaving basketry forms. After a few years I began to use different materials in the baskets, and found that thin metals worked very well. As time went on I used the metals more and stopped using the natural fibers.

At this time I started weaving sculptures that could hang on the wall. For the past fifteen years I have been weaving with metals that I airbrush. I weave basketry forms as well as the wall hangings. As well as doing arts festivals around the country, I have been commissioned to weave large pieces for commercial clients.
