The medium that “chose me” is Wood. The furniture that I create is organic in nature; at first glance it appears simplistic but upon further study the subtle complexities become evident. Many of the parts are matched lumber, or are consecutive pieces cut from one piece of wood. This brings balance and harmony to the furniture that is unspoken. The door and drawer pulls are made of wood and are an integral component of each piece of furniture. Traditional joinery is used to insure it will last for many generations. The finish is a combination of oils and waxes which enhances the natural color and beauty, creating a silky smooth surface that begs to be touched.
