I look for stumps, burls or gnarled trees that have been influenced by the passage of time. A hole is drilled in the center and a tool of my design cuts out the center space. The inlays introduce elements that nature never intended. Then there are gray areas, in which, the viewer asks, “Is this natural or did you do it”.
