Greg Gawlowski

While often using color as a design element, I strive to create images that are calming and spiritual in nature. The important thing isn’t so much the location of the photo, but how one feels when viewing it.

I began my career in photography studying Photojournalism, earning a degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene. My first travel overseas, though, sparked an interest in capturing scemes in foreign lands that continues to this day.

I have traveled extensively in the last two decades throughout Europe and North America, searching not only for beautiful scenes, but ones that allow me to creat contemplative travel images rich in color and texture.

I have been working professionally as a travel photographer for 23 years, and am regularly published by calender, poster and magazine publishers throughout the country.

All of my images are made on photographic transparency film, either 35mm or 2-1/4 formats. They are then drum-scanned and printed using the most advanced and archival processes available.

Images made on photographic paper are either printed by laser or pigment-based inkjet, both of which exhibit the highest quality and longest-lasting characteristics available. They are mounted and matted using only acid-free materials.

The imags created on canvas are printed with archival quality pigmented inks on museum quality 100% cotton canvas. A UV varnish is then applied to assure long lasting quality.
