My Artwork: engages the imagination and emotion of the viewer – often invoking memories outside the bounds of time. It invokes a story, an idea, or a feeling that seems eternal.
My tools: charcoal, acrylic medium, various drawing and painting implements, experimentation, and intuition.
My Goal: create abstract conversations involving past and future memories, an awareness, the viewer’s own perceptions and emotions, and, finally, the quiet voice of the artist. The work finds completion when the viewer experiences their own story within the artwork.
Beyond the discovery of a personal meaning, my artwork also aims to be visually attractive and desirable in both collector and decorator displays. The square format pieces are a nod to modern world of pixilation and profiles in boxes. It also serves my artist’s prerogative to keep final orientation fluid during the creation process. In multiples, the pieces can be combined in eye-catching arrangements – such as diptychs, triptychs, and grids. Limited and open edition prints are also available for collectors.
