Cheryl Campbell

From childhood, I have been fascinated by how things work. My favorite question was “Why?” as I tagged along in my father’s footsteps, plaguing him for explanations. I believe I inherited analytical, process and creativity genes from him, a man who seemed to know how and why things worked and could make or fix almost anything mechanical. That fascination with process translated into working with my hands, dabbling in all kinds of arts and crafts. Once I figured out how to do something or how the process worked, I was on to the next challenge, always more complicated than the last. The process, for me, has always been more fascinating than the end result.Along the way, my curiosity and quest for knowledge led me into other areas of interest. I was drawn into the realms of spiritual growth and personal development, neuroscience, Jungian archetypes, color theory, consciousness and healing, hypnosis and energy medicine. My added fascination with history, mythology, mysticism and archeology has led me to the kind of work I now create, a blending of ancient with new.New discoveries in neuroscience and quantum physics are proving the power of our thoughts and emotions on our health, happiness and prosperity. Focusing on what we want rather than what we don’t want creates powerful changes in our lives. My current body of work incorporates hand-stamped quotes, prayers and affirmations with ancient symbolism, color, texture, and metalworking techniques for unique one-of-a-kind pieces of empowering wearable art.
