I fabricate my jewelry using sterling, 14k-24k yellow gold, sheet, wire, semi-precious stones and pearls. While much of my time is spent in my studio I devote some of my time tending to my many flower and vegetable gardens. The pleasure gained from watching a seed I have planted mature into a beautiful flower or edible plant compares with a newly designed piece of jewelry blooming from beginning to end on my work bench. I find the shapes, forms, petals and organic shapes provide continuous stimulation and spark my creativity. I have recently explored the relationship of precious soft pearls with contrasting hard metals. I form cluster of pearls inside structures similar to a shell, birds nest or a crystal containing geode. These wearable pieces of jewelry are as delicate as a flower yet durable when worn.
