All of my paintings are done in acrylic on either hardboard or watercolor board. The extreme proportions are designed to emphasize the vastness of the landscapes, and the simplicity of content is intended to convey a peaceful serenity that invites the viewer to enter. Images gathered as I travel around the country form the basis of my work. Although the paintings are based on reality, they are not intended to be paintings of any specific place. Rarely can I identify the actual locations; that is not what is important. They are simply peaceful landscapes that could be anywhere, and hopefully they will take you back to another time or place.
