I am a local Texas, USA artist that designs, cuts, and hand sews (using a two needle saddle stitch) one of a kind, signed, hand made leather bags, using mostly bison and cowhide. I believe, as the Native American Indian, that all of the animal should be used. Bison and cattle are used for their meat. I honor the animal by using their hides in making hand sewn, handmade leather goods. This way nothing is wasted. I buy Texas local leather when possible and if not, USA local only. I try and get my hides from small USA independent tanners when possible. All leather and companies that I work with are from the USA.
