Anthony Jacobus

My work is about balance and contradictions; past and present, lost and found, beauty and decay, bringing ordinary objects and forgotten things together to tell visual poems of loss, mortality and isolation. I want my images to be bold and haunting while remaining totally quiet and ethereal. I am attracted to tangible things and ideas in a world that is becoming less and less so. My approach and technique is simple and uncluttered; I want to communicate what cannot be said with words.
