I work with authentic vintage objects that reflect a time when simple, discardable items like packaging tins and common household goods where well-designed and beautiful, unlike the those of our present plastic, throwaway culture. Each piece I source is soldered and bolted together to create a one-of-a-kind robot, thus creating futuristic objects from vintage parts. Some are stationary, while some are interactive automata. Vintage materials bolted & soldered together to create stationary robots and hand-cranked automata.
