My aim is to reproduce in print the tones and lighting that I saw in the original scene. I am personally involved in making the necessary adjustments in the printing process to achieve this. Great lighting in a landscape is a challenge to find and capture well. It's also challenging to reproduce in a fine art print. Even after 27 years, I continue to find this process fresh and rewarding. I enjoy sharing the results with others through fine art show, galleries and other venues. For many years I photographed with a 6x7 cm film camera, and now use high-resolution digital. For photos on canvas and fine art paper, I print with a large format printer which uses 10 different colors of pigmented inks. I apply a proprietary toning which gives warmth, while maintaining neutral whites. My prints are fully archival. For matted prints, I use acid-free matboard and backing board. All frames are wood. Naturalness in a landscape photo is what I enjoy; I strive to achieve this with every image I carry through to the final print.
