Outreach Programs
Two Dynamic Educational Programs are once again underway for 2010, the Growing Young Artists Program presented by XTO Energy and Art on Tour, presented by Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
The MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival, and its producer, Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, Inc., is committed to helping young people grow in the world of art, and to encourage them to consider an art career that includes the commercial exhibition and sale of their work, or to perhaps look into an exciting career as an art curator. To that end, we have partnered with our terrific sponsors to bring these two exciting programs to life, and to provide a resource to a number of youth in the Fort Worth area to experience the "business" of art and art festivals.
Please take a moment to review our programs, and we encourage you to join us at the "Young People's Art Fair" on-site, or visit the Art on Tour collection at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, on display April 2 through April 30. Or, perhaps one of our Visiting Artists may help a young person
you know understand art just a little better.
